The Saint-Tropez Citadel

A 16th-century fortress overlooking the harbour and the whole Gulf of Saint-Tropez, entirely removed from the bustle of the quays below.
The ramparts, surrounded by a park of pines and olive trees, give a sweeping view over the town, the harbour and the Maures hills that close off the gulf. The maritime history museum inside traces a Saint-Tropez that existed long before its current reputation.
